So I offer something most handymen don't. Honesty is the whole business

Most contractors climb the ladder. I climb it in reverse.

Most contractors want every job to get bigger. I work the other way. If your problem is smaller than you feared, I'll tell you. If it's a fifteen-minute fix, I'm not going to dress it up into an afternoon. And if it's genuinely past what a handyman should touch — a load-bearing wall, an electrical panel, a gas line — I'll tell you that too, and hand you the licensed pro I'd call for my own house, before you've paid me a dollar for it.

That costs me the occasional extra fifty dollars, and I've made my peace with it. I'd rather do one job right and earn a customer for twenty years than pad one invoice and never hear from you again. Twenty years as a contractor, now a one-man handyman shop

I spent two decades running J.CO Renovations, known around here for kitchens and baths, with years building homes down in Atlanta before that. I stepped back from the big builds to run this on my own — same standards, same hands, just scaled to the repairs and upgrades a house actually needs day to day.
